Can I be a member if I have an Eating Disorder?

In short no. If you know you already have an Eating Disorder, you’ve had one in the past, or you think you have the tendency to develop an Eating Disorder, then a Slimming Group is not the environment you need to be in. At Evolve, we are not qualified in the difficulties of Eating Disorders but will help and support you where we can. Sadly we can’t help with the complexities of Eating Disorders, and we will not pretend otherwise, hence, we would rather signpost you to dedicated, professional help, rather than pretend to help you under false pretences. How does the plan work?

The Evolve programme is your secret weapon for weight loss success! It combines a healthy non-restrictive eating plan, activity, and wellness to help you make lasting changes and reach your goals. With balanced meals, fun workouts, and a sprinkle of motivation, you’ll be unstoppable on your journey to a healthier, happier you!

Are there any foods that I should avoid?

No food is off-limits in the Evolve Everyday Eats plan! It’s all about enjoying a balanced approach and making mindful choices. Embrace a wide variety of delicious foods while staying focused on your goals. So, go ahead and savour your favourites in moderation – there’s room for enjoyment on your journey to success!

If I hit a hard patch, and start to struggle, what tools or support may be available?

No worries if you hit a rough patch or start to struggle, just to reassure you, that’s completely normal. It happens to us all from time to time!! You’ll have a toolbox full of support and resources at your disposal. From worksheets and guidance to the uplifting camaraderie of the group, there’s always someone to lend a helping hand. You’ll find strategies, tips, and a cheerleading squad to keep you motivated and push through any challenges that come your way. So, rest assured, you’re never alone in this journey.

I feel uncomfy being spoken to in front of others in a group do I have to talk?

No worries at all! You have complete freedom when it comes to sharing in front of others. We would never, ever force you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. Whether you prefer to sit back and listen or actively participate is entirely up to you. We’d love for you to stay and benefit from the incredible ideas, motivation, and kindness that our groups offer, but it’s entirely your choice. Choice Power is so important to us.

Will you announce weight gains in group?

Absolutely not! I can assure you, with 100% certainty, that announcing weight gains is strictly off-limits in our groups. We understand that weight fluctuations are a natural part of the journey, and there’s absolutely no shame in experiencing a challenging week. In fact, it would be quite odd if we didn’t encounter those tough moments! However, rest assured that we will never disclose anyone’s weight or share it with others. Confidentiality is paramount to us, and both myself and our wonderful weigh ladies are dedicated to upholding this principle. Your privacy and comfort are our top priorities, so you can feel safe and supported throughout your weight loss journey with us.

I feel really uncomfortable being weighed at the same time as lots of other people, is there any way around this?

We completely empathise with your discomfort, especially if this is a new experience for you. Our amazing weigh ladies are incredibly understanding, supportive, and compassionate. Rest assured, when it’s time for your weigh in, it will be done privately and discreetly. There won’t be anyone able to see the number on the scales.

If you’d prefer, we can explore alternative options to ensure your comfort. I’m more than happy to personally handle your weigh in, or we can arrange a separate time during the day for you to come in for a private weigh in session with me. You can then choose to join the group session later on if you’d like.

What happens if I am unable to attend class for some reason?

Going on a holiday? No problem! At Evolve, we’ve got you covered. As we automatically include holidays in your membership by setting up monthly payments instead of weekly ones. So in real terms, you only pay for 48 weeks out of the year.

Will there be tools available to support me when I’m not in a group?

In between group sessions, you’ve got an entire support squad cheering you on every step of the way! With our awesome Evolve members-only group page, great WhatsApp group, and your dedicated Evolve coach, we’ve got you covered from all angles. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, sharing victories, or needing that extra boost, we’re here for you, ready to provide the tools, motivation, and support you need. So, rest assured, we’ve got your back, and we’re in this journey together, supporting you all the way!

Are there good and bad foods?

In the Evolve approach, we believe in a balanced perspective when it comes to food. We don’t label foods as “good” or “bad.” Instead, it’s all about moderation and making informed choices. In our groups, we’ll guide you on understanding healthier options, satisfying food groups, and how to develop positive habits. We’ll help you discover the joy of nourishing your body with nutritious, filling foods that support your goals while still enjoying occasional less healthy foods in moderation. It’s about finding a sustainable and enjoyable way to eat that promotes overall well-being and helps you develop long-lasting healthy habits.

What foods are good sources of protein & is protein important?

Protein is super important, and there are plenty of tasty sources to choose from! Think lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy. Protein does some serious work in our bodies – it helps with tissue repair, muscle growth, and keeping us feeling full and satisfied. On the Everyday Eats plan, loads of protein foods are  NO Count superstars, meaning you can enjoy them freely as part of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. So, dig in and savour those protein-packed goodies!

How much is the group fee?

At Evolve, we believe in keeping things simple and focused on your journey. That’s why we have a straightforward payment plan designed just for you.
For a limited-time special new launch offer, membership is HALF PRICE, at only £5 (usually £10) to join. After that, it’s just a monthly fee of £20, which is less than £5 per week. It’s an affordable investment in your health and well-being. Alternatively, you can choose a package of two months’ sessions for only £40 or three months for just £60. The decision is yours!

Once you reach your goal weight, which we like to call your Happy Weight, your monthly fee is reduced to just £10. That’s less than the price of a cup of coffee at Costa! And don’t worry, you still get all the amazing benefits of our groups, both during and outside of sessions. Plus, we value your expertise and love having your knowledge shared in the group.

Is fibre important?

Absolutely, fibre is incredibly important for a healthy diet! It helps support digestion, keeps you feeling full, and contributes to overall gut health. On the Everyday Eats plan, we encourage you to include fibre-rich foods such as porridge oats and beans. These power-packed goodies not only add delicious variety to your meals but also provide essential nutrients and promote a happy, well-nourished body. So, embrace the fibre and enjoy the benefits it brings to your everyday eating!

How do I set my goal weight?

At Evolve, we believe in the power of choice when it comes to setting your goal weight. It’s all about finding your Happy Weight – the weight that makes you feel healthy and confident. You have the freedom to decide what your ideal weight is, and we’re here to guide and support you along the way. We can help you set interim goals to keep you motivated and on track. Ultimately, it’s about finding a weight that brings you happiness and fulfilment. 

How do I sustain my goal weight & is there support available?

Keeping your goal weight (Happy Weight) in sight is a top priority at Evolve, and we’ve got your back every step of the way! With the great support of your Evolve coach and the incredible group, you’ll have all the tools and motivation to rock that happy weight. Attending our weekly group sessions is like having a squad of weight maintenance superheroes cheering you on. Your Evolve coach will share tips and tricks to help you stay on track.
